If you don’t have cleaning solutions, you can use ordinary household materials like baking soda, vinegar and lemon juice.

Remove Unnecessary Objects from the Toilet

What makes the toilet messy? It’s the unnecessary or excessive items that people store in there. There could be a few magazines which you brought in to ready when fulfilling your necessities, a few trinkets in the medicine box, and other misplaced items like hangers and pails. This makes cleaning difficult, so remove excessive items from there to avoid accidents.

Start Cleaning

Apply cleaning solutions to areas with rough stains or on areas that needs thorough cleaning: The bowl, sink, taps and handles, floors and walls.

Start cleaning at the bowl. Squirt inside the bowl by starting at the rim to cover all area under the lip of the bowl. Allow them to soak for a few minutes, and next you can start brushing or scrubbing.

Brush thoroughly over grime or mineral stains. You can also apply a thick paste of baking soda or lime over the spot. After a few minutes, flush the bowl. You can then add a bit of muriatic acid or disinfectant to kill the remaining germs. Don’t forget to clean the exterior of the bowl too.

To clean the sink, apply cleaners before scrubbing. If there are tough stains, apply baking soda and lime. Scrub for a complete clean. For the faucet and handles, spray a mixed solution of water and vinegar or lime and wipe with a clean cloth. Repeat a few times.

The wall and the floors will also need intense scrubbing as these are common areas for tough mold, mildew and stain build-up. You need to apply cleaners as needed to remove them and scrub them the best you can. After a moment of thorough scrubbing, apply muriatic acid or disinfectant especially on the floor.

After all the cleaning, wipe with a clean cloth or paper towel.
